Two doubles world No.1s will share the court in New York when Britain’s Henry Patten partners Katerina Siniakova in qualifying for the US Open 2026 Mixed Doubles Championship.
Qualifying begins at 16:00 BST on Monday 24 August at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, NY 11368. The main draw follows on 25-26 August. The event is aimed at tennis fans, with UK coverage confirmed on Sky Sports and NOW TV.
LTA Tennis News reported the confirmed entries on 18 August. Its preview does not specify ticket prices, booking arrangements, transport guidance or accessibility information.
Three days, with the main draw starting Tuesday
All times in the published schedule are given in BST, providing UK viewers with a direct guide to when each stage begins.

| Date | Round and start time |
|---|---|
| Monday 24 August | Qualifying — 16:00 BST |
| Tuesday 25 August | First round and quarter-finals — 13:00 BST |
| Wednesday 26 August | Semi-finals and final — 12:00 BST |
The qualifying draw gives three British doubles players a route into the main event. Patten and Siniakova are joined by Neal Skupski with Brazil’s Luisa Stefani, while former Wimbledon champion Lloyd Glasspool will play alongside New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe.
Jack Draper, Katie Boulter and Julian Cash had also signed up for the tournament, but their places had not been confirmed when the line-up was published.
Sabalenka and Djokovic lead the direct entries
Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic form the headline partnership among the six direct-entry teams. Elena Rybakina will play with Taylor Fritz, while 2025 runners-up Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud return as a pair.

The remaining direct entries are Diana Shnaider and Daniil Medvedev, Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli, and the all-American combination of Amanda Anisimova and Learner Tien.
Five main-draw wild-card pairings have also been named:
- Alexandra Eala and Felix Auger-Aliassime
- Leylah Fernandez and Frances Tiafoe
- Taylor Townsend and Alexander Zverev
- Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils
- Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori
The qualifying field also includes Gabriela Dabrowski and Harri Heliovaara, Aleksandra Krunic and Mate Pavic, and Jelena Ostapenko and Marcelo Arevalo. Three further main-draw teams and two additional qualifying teams remain to be announced.

Short sets put pressure on every service game
Matches before the final use a best-of-three-set format, but each set is shortened to four games. No-ad scoring applies at deuce, so the next point decides the game. If a set reaches 4-4, the teams play a 10-point tie-break, which must be won by at least two points.
The final switches to full six-game sets while retaining no-ad scoring. If the finalists split the opening two sets, a 10-point match tie-break replaces a deciding third set.
Errani and Vavassori enter as defending champions after beating Swiatek and Ruud 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 in the 2025 final. The Italian pair received $1 million as champions last year, but the official 2026 prize money had not been announced at the time of the LTA report.
UK coverage begins with Monday’s qualifying draw
Sky Sports and NOW TV will carry the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship in the UK. The first confirmed session is qualifying at 16:00 BST on Monday 24 August, followed by the first round and quarter-finals from 13:00 BST on Tuesday.
