Great Britain’s leading young tennis players are competing at the 14U, 12U & 11U Lexus Junior National Championships 2026 in Nottingham from 15 to 23 August. The Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre hosts singles and doubles competition across all three age groups, with spectators able to follow selected courts online through the LTA.

Planning status: the LTA’s event information does not state an admission price, booking process or daily start times. A street address, transport guidance and accessibility details are also not provided, so anyone planning to attend should check the organiser’s event page before travelling.

Eight draws spread across nine days

The championships do not follow one shared timetable. The 11U and 14U boys’ events begin first, while the 12U competitions continue through the final day on 23 August.

Draw formats change with the age group

Each age category has singles and doubles draws, but players do not all take the same route towards the national title.

The 14U main draws are determined by player rankings and use a straight knockout format. Players defeated in the opening round move into a consolation draw, giving them another competitive opportunity after an early loss.

The 11U and 12U singles competitions begin with round-robin qualifying groups. The top two players from each group advance to a 16-player elimination draw. This creates an initial group stage before the field narrows to the knockout phase.

According to the LTA, the entry list includes players supported by Regional Player Development Centres. These centres form part of the National Performance pathway and work with 14U players who may have the potential to progress towards international junior competition.

Five courts carry live coverage

The LTA is providing streams from the Show Court and Courts 1, 2, 5 and 6 during the championships. Draws, completed scores and current results are also being published through the tournament coverage, allowing viewers to move between live matches and the wider competition picture.

Electronic Line Calling is in use at the event. GlobeBids has a separate guide to line technology at the Nottingham championships, including how it supports decisions across match courts.

A roll of honour filled with established players

Previous champions show where the junior national titles sit within British tennis. Kyle Edmund won the 14U boys’ singles title in 2009, while Heather Watson took the 14U girls’ singles championship in 2006.

Jack Draper appears twice on the doubles roll of honour: as a 12U boys’ champion in 2013 and a 14U boys’ champion in 2015. This year’s players are competing for places on the same national record, with the final scheduled action coming from the 12U singles and doubles draws on 23 August.
